Sending money home should be quick, clear about what it costs, and safe. SonghaiPay is built for people in the United States supporting family across Africa.
Why we built it
Millions of people in the diaspora send money home every month, for school fees, rent, medicine and emergencies. Too often they find out what the transfer really cost only after it lands. We wanted a service that shows the full cost up front and gets money to a bank account or mobile wallet quickly.
SonghaiPay lets you send from your phone or computer, or straight from WhatsApp, to Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, South Africa, Côte d'Ivoire, Senegal and Cameroon.
How SonghaiPay works
Who we are
SonghaiPay is a service of Songhai LLC, a Georgia limited liability company. We build and run the app, the website, the WhatsApp service and customer support.
Who moves the money
SonghaiPay is not a bank and does not hold your money itself. US payments and money transmission are provided by regulated partners, and payouts in Africa by Yellow Card. Our partners
